OGO Foundation Morgan Horses Stolen and Slaughtered

JokerJokerOGO Shawalla El Cortez

The following story I wish I could say is fictional but sadly it is true and very recent.

As many people are aware, I have my horses in a few different places...... Salinas, CA., Prunedale, CA.,  Norco, CA. and HorseShoe Bend, ID.  I have been lucky enough to breed and raise some of the very best foundation Morgan Horse bloodlines and sharing these bloodlines with as many people of like mind is very important to me and to the breed.  As it is well stated on my website, the following horses were in HorseShoe Bend with Terry Jenson of the T bar K Ranch and Cattle Co.

OGO Higuera Rio Bravo ( Higuera Bandido x Circle H Merlita ) Chestnut Stallion - proven to produce quality foals and only intact son of Higuera Bandido the stallion I have based my entire breeding program on.
OGO Circle H Hunnewill ( Higuera Bandido x Circle H Merlita) Bay no white gelding
OGO Circle H Romanesque ( Vining Lamar x Circle H Merlita) Chestnut Roan Flaxen Stud Prospect
OGO Shawalla El Cortez ( Vining Lamar x Golden WinterMist) Palomino gelding ( gelded without my permission not by Terry Jensen)
OGO Primavera Red Oak ( Vining Lamar x OGO Bellota Del Oro) Chestnut stud colt ( belonging to Amy Don Scheroder)

On the evening of May 10th I was notified that OGO Circle H Hunnewill and OGO Shawalla El Cortez were no longer in Terry Jensens possession and OGO Higuera Rio Bravo, OGO Circle H Romanesque, and OGO Primavera Red Oak were in extreme danger of being disposed of as well.

Merlita Retires!

Circle H Merlita Retires!Circle H Merlita has been retired as a broodmare.

Merlita... thank you for OGO Higuera Rio Bravo.  (Owned by Wendy LeGate and standing at stud for Terry Jensen of TK Land and Cattle Company.)  Rio is the replacement for his sire, Higuera Bandido.  And for... OGO Circle H Hunnewill (gelded and for sale); OGO Circle H Romanesque (Owned by Wendy LeGate and is a stallion prospect as a replacement for his sire, Vining Lamar - currently residing with Terry Jensen in Idaho.); and OGO Circle H RoseWood (owned by Wendy LeGate), which will be retained to take Merlita's place.

CC registered and tested!
OGO Sellman Hill and Co., aka "CC", has been registered and color tested.  He is indeed a smoky black, which is a black base with the dilute present.  OGO Sellman Hill and Co will be retained as a Jr. Stallion prospect.

Merlita and Ursulas
Unfortunately, I was never able to get Ursula and Merlita in foal this year.  Ursulas Higuera Bandita is taking 2009 off, but will hopefully get in foal sometime in the future.

Merlita and Ursula's due dates
This is just for Merlita and Ursula.  I jumped the gun and they are still, as yet, not in foal - but I am still trying to get them in foal and will update when they are confirmed in foal and when they are expected to deliver.

Prairie on breeding lease
OGO Flower of the Prairie is on breeding lease to Val Cabassiss of Beautifully Balanced Morgans in Prunedale, CA.  Stay tuned for Prairie's OGO Tejon de Hermoso foal due to be born Spring of 2010.  Val will be offering this foal for sale.

Wintermist Sold
Golden Wintermist has been sold to Val Cabassiss of Beautifully Balanced Morgans, Prunedale, CA.  Stay tuned for Wintermists' OGO Tejon de Hermoso foal due Spring of 2010.   Val will be offering this foal for sale.

OGO EastWest Coast - 2009 Colt

OGO EastWest Coast OGO Tejon de Oro Hermoso x CFF Texas Tea

OGO EastWest Coast is proven by genetic color testing as a Smokey Cream which is a double diluted black. EastWest was  owed a foal by my stallion Badger so othey decided to buy CFF Texas Tea who was in foal to Badger to satisfy the agreement.  Bj and Ann Max were very surprised, when March rolled around and a double dilute popped out.

All pictures showned were taken by BJ Morris and Ann Maxwell Sercey of EastWest Morgans.  If your ever in thier neck of the woods, BlueRidge GA, its worth a phone call to see if they are available for your visit. They have an incrediable ranch with lots of quality Morgan horses to look at.

EastWest Morgans have decided to offer OGO EastWest Coast for sale, as he is 'stallion quality' and they had originally wanted a trail prospect riding horse.  EastWest feels Coast is too fine a speciman to be gelded and have decided to offer him for sale to a home that will consider him as a future herd sire.

Coast is not only a foundation bred colt, but is themely bred WWF bloodlines.
If interested please contact Bj Morrise or Ann Maxwell at EastWest Morgans directly.
